Pandarapur Chits Private Limited

Our office is at H No 260, which is right near the Ranga Mandira in Upparatti. This is in the Gokak area of Belagavi district. It is a very local spot and most people walk here or come on their bikes. Pandarapur Chits Private Limited started because there wasn't a good way for people in our village to pool their money together. We have a small room with a fan and a big table where we hold our meetings. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we usually have the windows open. We don't have any fancy software; we just use our calculators and some big ledgers to keep track of everything. Most of the people who participate in our chits are farmers or people who run small shops in Upparatti. We know everyone’s family and how things are going with their crops. It’s a very personal way of doing business. We aren't a big city firm with thousands of employees. It is just a couple of us making sure the money is handled right. Sometimes we have to wait for someone who is running late because of work in the fields, but we don't mind. We are part of this community and we plan to stay here for a long time. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to our neighbors. We try to be fair and keep things simple for everyone.
