Mahant Dental Clinic

We spend a lot of time here at the Cantonment Complex on Station road. It’s a busy area and the noise from the street usually comes right through the windows. Being at No.25 means we see people walking by all day heading to the camp or the station. The clinic itself is just a regular place with chairs for waiting and the rooms where we do the dental work. Most mornings start with someone unlocking the front door and getting the lights on before the first person shows up with a toothache. It’s not a fancy setup, just a practical one that gets the job done. We have a few cabinets filled with files and the tools are all kept in the back. Sometimes the fan makes a little clicking noise but we’re used to it by now. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon, though they’re fine for now. We mostly deal with routine things like cleanings or fillings. Outside, the traffic on Station road never really stops, so there is always a background hum. We keep a stack of old magazines in the waiting area, even if nobody reads them much anymore because of their phones. It’s just how things are run here at Mahant Dental Clinic. We’ve been at this spot for a while and the neighbors know us. It feels like a normal part of the day, just doing the work and heading home when the sun goes down.
