M D Chougle And Company is where we spend most of our time these days. We are right there in Gondhali Galli, on the second floor of the Shahapurkar Complex. It’s one of those buildings where you end up knowing all the neighbors after a while. The stairs can be a bit much if you’re carrying heavy things, but it’s just part of the daily routine. Being near Corporation Bank is a big help because people use that as a landmark when they can't quite find our entrance. Inside, the office is just a regular place with desks and folders piled up everywhere. We’ve been in this part of Belgaum for quite some time now. Some days are quiet, and other days the street outside is just loud with all the bikes and people going about their business. We usually get our tea from the small stall just down the road. It isn't a fancy place, just where we do our work and talk to the folks who come in to see us. The light in the late afternoon hits the windows a certain way that makes the room feel warm. Most of us have been working here long enough that we don't even notice the noise from the market anymore. If you're looking for our spot, just find the bank and then head up the stairs in the complex. It’s nothing special to look at from the street, but it’s our space.
