Lakeview Hospital

Lakeview Hospital is located in Gandhi Nagar, which is right by the Central Bus Stand. Because of the location, we see a lot of people who are just passing through town or coming in from the nearby villages. It is never really quiet here. You can always hear the buses pulling in and out, and the conductors shouting out destinations. The hospital building has been around for a while and it shows its age in some of the corners. The walls are painted a pale cream color that we try to keep clean, though the dust from the bus stand makes it a constant battle. We have a lot of benches in the waiting hall because people often have to wait a long time to see someone. My shift usually starts early when the first buses arrive, and the lobby is already starting to fill up by then. It is a practical place, focused on getting things done rather than looking pretty. We have some fans on the ceiling that hum loudly all day long, which helps with the heat but makes it hard to hear people sometimes. The staff rooms are small and cluttered with old charts and coffee mugs. We are just a regular hospital trying to handle the crowd that comes with being so close to the transport hub. It is a lot of walking back and forth between the wards, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired.
