Hande & Company

Our place is at 1941 Hutama Chowk, right on Kirloskar Road. It’s an old area and the traffic can be quite something during the peak hours. We’ve been working out of this spot for a good bit of time. The office isn’t much to look at, just some desks and shelves filled with old files and whatever we’re working on that week. Usually, someone is always on the phone or looking through ledgers. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how everything works. It can get a bit noisy with the buses passing by outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. We open early most days because that’s when it’s coolest. Coffee is a big part of our morning routine here. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have a lot of deliveries coming in at once. We just handle it as it comes. It’s a practical way of working. No one wears suits or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable and get to it. The floor is a bit uneven in the back room, so we have to be careful moving things around. Customers know where to find us because we’ve been at this junction forever. It's a solid place to be. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes we even forget to lock the drawer where we keep the biscuits after we leave.
