Green Saviours Association

Green Saviours Association is located in Belgaum, specifically in the Vidyanagar area of Angol. Our spot is at H N 741/4A1, CCB 251. It’s not a big fancy office building; it’s more of a local hub where we coordinate our environmental work. Being in Belgaum, we are surrounded by a lot of natural beauty, and we want to keep it that way. We aren't corporate environmentalists with suits and ties. We’re usually the ones with dirt under our fingernails from being out in the field. The association started because a few of us were worried about the trees and the green spaces around Vidyanagar. Now we spend our time organizing planting drives and talking to neighbors about taking care of the environment. It’s a lot of physical work and we don't always have the best equipment, but we make do with what we have. Sometimes we meet at the office to plan, but most of the real work happens outside. We don't have a big budget for advertising, so we just talk to people on the street or in the local shops. It’s a slow process, but we are seeing some changes. The 590006 area is where we live and work, so we have a real stake in what happens here. It’s just a group of friends and neighbors who decided to stop complaining and start doing something. We aren't perfect, but we are trying our best to make a difference.
