Gajare Hospital

You will find Gajare Hospital on the first floor of the Datta Complex. We are tucked away in Gondhali Galli, which can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t from around here. Being on the first floor means people have to walk up the stairs, but it keeps us a bit away from the direct noise of the street. The complex itself is quite old and has a lot of different shops inside it. We have been in this specific unit for quite some time now. It is not a massive hospital, just a few rooms where we can look after people who come in. The hallway is usually lined with benches for people waiting to see the doctor. We try to keep it cool inside during the summer, but the fans have to work pretty hard most of the time. Most of the people who come here are from the surrounding lanes in the area. We know the shopkeepers downstairs at Datta Complex pretty well by now. It is a busy little area, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. The lighting in the hallway is a bit dim, but once you get inside the clinic, it is bright enough to see. We don’t have a big reception team, usually just one or two people handling everything. It is a bit old-fashioned, using paper files and handwritten notes for the most part. We just focus on getting people seen and sent home.
