Chandra Sugand Farm

Chandra Sugand Farm is out in Manglore, near Kumudbur, and it is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the city. Out here, the air feels a lot different and much cleaner than the urban areas. Most of our time is spent working the land rather than sitting in an office. We get our mail at the local post office, but we are usually too busy with chores to worry about much else. Our main building is small and mostly used for keeping records or taking a quick lunch break. The majority of the day happens outdoors, no matter what the weather looks like. Whether it is raining or the sun is beating down, the work has to be done. It is a lot of physical labor that keeps us tired but satisfied. We have followed the seasons here for many years now. Life in Kumudbur is quiet, which suits us just fine. Our neighbors are mostly doing the same kind of work, so there is a lot of mutual respect. You won't find a website or any fancy marketing for us. We just do our chores and sell what we produce directly. Sometimes the roads turn to thick mud after a heavy storm, making travel difficult. That is just part of living on a farm. We take care of the soil and wait for things to grow. It requires a lot of patience and everyday effort in the fields.
