It’s been a while since we set up at Plot No. 15 in Udyambag. People mostly know us as the place right across from Bharat. It’s a busy spot but we manage to get through the day. My father started things here and I've been around the shop since I was a kid. Most days it's just grease, noise, and fixing things that shouldn't have broken. We handle all sorts of vehicles that come through the gates. We don't have a fancy office or air conditioning here. It's just a workshop with tools and some old chairs for when customers want to sit and wait. Sometimes parts take a day or two to arrive, that's just how it is with the local suppliers. We try to get things fixed properly the first time so you don't have to keep coming back for the same noise. The weather gets really hot in the afternoons but we keep the fans going. It’s hard work and your hands are always dirty. If you’re driving through Udyambag and hear a weird sound from your engine, you can find us easily enough. We keep the floor as clean as you can expect for a garage like this. Nothing fancy, just tools and people who know how to use them. Some of the guys have been working here for a decade. We know the local roads are rough on cars and we see a lot of the same people every month for oil changes.
