Akshtha Health Care Centre

Our place, Akshtha Health Care Centre, is located in the City Plaza on Samadevi Galli. If you know Belgaum, you know how narrow and busy the streets are around here. Getting into the plaza can be a bit of a squeeze during market hours. We are up on one of the floors, away from the immediate noise of the street vendors, but you can still hear the honking and shouting from below. The center has a few rooms for check-ups and a small area where people wait their turn. The floor is that grey speckled stone that was popular years ago. We have a water cooler in the corner that always seems to be bubbling. It is a practical space. We do not have fancy decor or plush carpets because they would just get ruined with all the foot traffic we get. Most of our patients are people who work in the nearby shops or live in the old city area. We spend our days looking at charts and talking to folks about their health. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps us see what we are doing. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, and everyone has to take the stairs. It is just one of those things you deal with in an older building. We have been part of this street for a while now, and everyone knows the blue sign outside the plaza.
