Omsai Cold Drink

Omsai Cold Drink is located right on the National Highway in Kotkasim. We are very close to Hanuman Market, so we get a mix of local people and folks who are just driving through to somewhere else. The highway is always loud with the sound of horns and engines, which you eventually stop noticing. Our shop is basically just a place to stop and catch your breath. We keep the coolers filled with whatever is in season and whatever people are asking for. It gets really hot out here on the asphalt, so a cold bottle is usually what everyone is looking for. We don't have a big staff, just us and occasionally a helper for the busy weekends. The floor is concrete and we have to wash it down every evening because of all the dust from the road. We don't really have a big plan for the future, we just take it one day at a time. Hanuman Market brings in a lot of people on certain days, and those are our busiest times. We spend a lot of time moving bottles from the back to the front. It’s a lot of physical labor, but it’s honest work. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a cold drink shop on a busy highway where you can get something cold and sit for a minute before heading back out on the road.
