Kisan Brick Field

Kisan Brick Field is located out in Village Mujafa Badh. It’s a quiet place, way out in the Behat Taluka of Saharanpur. We are right near the government school, so we hear the kids playing during their breaks. It’s a nice sound to have in the background while we work. The village life suits us just fine. We have plenty of space here to spread out the bricks so they can dry properly in the sun. The air is usually clear, except for when we have the kilns going. We work mostly with the local soil from around Mujafa Badh. It’s tough work, and our hands are always dirty, but that’s the nature of the job. We don’t have a lot of visitors from the city; it’s mostly just farmers and local contractors who need materials for their walls or barns. We don’t do any fancy marketing. Word just travels around the village. If someone needs bricks, they know to come down the road past the school. Sometimes the roads get a bit rough during the monsoon, and we have to wait for the mud to dry before the tractors can get in or out. We just take it as it comes. It's a slow process, making bricks by hand, but we've been doing it this way for years. We just keep our piles neat and wait for the next customer to stop by. That is just how we do things here.
