Oshiya Events

We’ve been at Panchlok Complex for a while now. It’s right there in Gyanbagh Colony, Begumbazar. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets, especially during the wedding season. That’s when things get really hectic for us at Oshiya Events. We spend most of our mornings checking lists and making sure the supplies are ready to go out. It’s not a fancy office or anything, just a practical space where we keep our stuff. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other days we are just sitting there sorting through decorations. People come in asking for all sorts of things for their functions. We try to keep track of what’s happening in the market because trends change so fast. One day it’s one type of lighting and the next it’s something totally different. Being in Begumbazar helps because everything is nearby. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. Dragging boxes around and making sure nothing gets broken in transit takes up a lot of our energy. We just open up the shutters every morning and get to it. Sometimes we’re still working late into the evening if there’s a big event the next day. It’s just how it goes here. There’s always someone stopping by the shop to chat or ask about prices. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept in the complex. It works for us. Our neighbor shops are also mostly into similar trading lines, so there is a lot of movement all day long.
