Shantai Clinic

So, Shantai Clinic in Majalgaon is located right on Gajanan Maharah Mandir Road. It’s a pretty easy place to find because the temple is such a big part of the neighborhood. You can usually hear the morning prayers if you’re here early enough to open up. The clinic itself is just a basic building, nothing that stands out from the other shops on the street. We’ve got a couple of rooms inside for seeing people. The furniture is mostly plastic chairs and a wooden desk that’s been here since we opened. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just know where we are. Majalgaon is a small enough town that everyone talks, so if someone needs a checkup, they just walk over. It gets quite dusty on this road when the wind picks up, so we’re always dusting off the medicine bottles and the window sills. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the patients and the cleaning. It’s a very local vibe here. Most days we just sit and talk with the regulars while they wait for their turn. We don't follow a very strict schedule, we just open up in the morning and stay until the last person is seen. It’s a bit old-fashioned I suppose, but it works for the people around the temple road. We keep things simple and don't worry about being fancy or having the newest gadgets in the office.
