We are based out in Ambajogai, which is in the Beed district. Our spot is on the Ring Road, and if you are sending us mail, it goes to Postbox No. 23. The place is called Manavlok. It’s a bit of a long name we have, Maha Shashwat Krishi Organization Forplanning And Extension Association, but we usually just don’t say the whole thing unless we have to. Out here, things move at a different pace than the big cities. We see a lot of people coming in from the nearby villages. The office has a lot of maps on the walls and some old benches for people to sit on while they wait. It’s a practical space. We don’t have air conditioning, so we keep the ceiling fans going all day. It gets hot in Beed, but you get used to it. We aren't trying to be some high-tech firm. We are just local people trying to help out with planning and whatever else is needed around here. There is always a pot of water for anyone who is thirsty. We don’t have a big budget for decorations, so it’s just plain walls and functional furniture. It’s honest and it works for us. We’ve been part of the Ambajogai landscape for a while now. Most people know where the Ring Road office is. We just show up every morning and see what the day brings.
