If you are looking for Lenyadri Metta Association, you have to head out to Majalgaon in the Beed district. We operate out of Baban Ramba Shinde’s place. It’s a local setup, nothing like those big city offices you see on television. Majalgaon is a small town where everyone kind of knows each other, and we like it that way. We use the space we have to organize things for the people around the taluka. The word Metta is about kindness, and that’s pretty much what we try to keep in mind, even when things get stressful or the paperwork piles up. It gets really hot here in the summer, so we usually start our days early before the sun gets too high. There isn’t a fancy sign outside or a receptionist to greet you. You just walk in and talk to whoever is around. We do a lot of our work through word of mouth and by just being present in the community. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit outside to finish our notes, but that’s just how life is here. We aren't trying to change the whole world at once, just doing our bit for the neighbors and families in this part of Beed. It’s honest work and we take it one day at a time without making a big fuss about what we do.
