Down here in Kolgaon, Tq. Gevrai, you’ll find us at House Number 257. This is Koleshwar Urban Multipurpose Nidhi Limited. We operate out of Sachin Sakharam Kamble’s place on the main road. It’s a pretty central spot in the Beed district. We get a lot of dust from the road when the trucks go by, but we don't mind much. People stop in after they finish their work in the fields or at the shops. We handle the community's money and try to help everyone keep their savings straight. It’s a lot of manual work and checking numbers twice. My brother helps out on the weekends when it gets busy. We’ve got a couple of old desks and a ceiling fan that makes a bit of a clicking sound. It’s honest work. Most people know Sachin, so they find the place easily without needing a map. We don't use any of those complicated apps, just the standard way of doing things with paper and ink. Sometimes the ledger gets a bit messy, but we fix it. We drink a lot of chai during the day while talking to the farmers and shopkeepers about the crops. It’s a good way to stay connected to what’s happening in Kolgaon. No one wears a suit here. We just dress like everyone else and get the job done. It feels right to be working in our own village instead of moving to the city.
