Beed is the kind of place where everyone eventually passes through the main chowks. Our office is right there in the middle of it. It’s a small space, nothing too flashy. We have our files stacked up and our chairs arranged so people can sit and talk with us. The traffic outside can get a bit loud, especially during the middle of the day. We spend a lot of time looking at ledgers and making sure the numbers match up. It’s a lot of routine work, but it needs to be done. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. We keep the door open most of the time unless it’s raining. The air in Beed gets dry, so we usually have a jug of water on the table for anyone who comes in. It’s just a regular local office. We’re not trying to change the world; we’re just here to do the daily work for the people in this part of Maharashtra. Sometimes the computer is slow, and we have to wait a bit. That’s just life here on Pangri Road. We usually close up when the street lights come on. It’s been our home for a while now.
