Harekrishna Cement Products

Over here in Village Salewadi, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We’re tucked away in Taluka Georai, not too far from the Jai Bhawani Mandir. If you’re passing by the temple, you’ve probably seen our place, Harekrishna Cement Products. We make a variety of cement items that folks around here need for their homes and farms. It’s a dusty job, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. There isn't much to the office, just a place to sit and some old chairs for when customers come by to chat about their orders. We know most of the people in the village and the surrounding areas. It’s a tight community. Sometimes we have to wait on the materials to arrive from the city, which can be frustrating if the roads are bad. But we make do with what we have. The sun gets pretty hot out here in Georai, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. We aren't trying to be some huge company; we just want to provide decent cement products to the local builders. My cousin helps out with the mixing and the casting, and we have a couple of other local guys who come in daily. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. That’s really all there is to it, just keeping things moving one block at a time for our neighbors.
