Gurukrupa Kirana Store

Gurukrupa Kirana Store is right in Dindrud, which is part of the Majalgaon taluka. We are located on the main road, and the big bus stand is just a short walk away. Being so close to where the buses stop means we get all sorts of people coming in at odd hours looking for something to eat or supplies for their homes. The store is packed from floor to ceiling with all the usual things like pulses, soaps, biscuits, and oils. It is a bit of a squeeze when there are more than three customers inside at once. I spend most of my day behind the counter, weighing out sugar or flour and chatting with the locals who stop by for their daily news. The shelves are a bit dusty sometimes because of the dirt from the main road, but we try to keep things tidy. In the evenings, it gets really crowded when the last few buses come in and everyone is trying to get their shopping done before going home. It can be tiring standing on your feet all day, but it is good to see the familiar faces from the village. We don't have any computer or fancy billing system, just a notebook and a calculator to keep track of everything. It’s a simple village shop and we just take each day as it comes.
