Ambika Medicals General Stores

Our shop is right on Jalana Road, just opposite the bus stand. It is a very busy spot because of all the people coming and going from the buses all day long. We get a lot of travelers who realized they forgot something at home, like a toothbrush or some headache tablets. We also have our regulars from the local neighborhood who come in for their daily needs. The store is a mix of a pharmacy and a general store, so we have everything from bandages to soap and snacks. It is usually just one or two of us working the shift. The front of the shop is open to the street, so we see everything that happens at the bus stand while we work. It gets quite dusty with the buses pulling in and out, so we are always wiping down the glass counters. We do not have a computer system that is very fancy; we mostly just know where everything is by heart. The shelves are packed tight with all sorts of things. Sometimes it is hard to find a specific item quickly if it is tucked in the back, but we usually manage to find it. We keep a small stool near the back for when things get quiet, but that does not happen very often. It is a simple life, selling what people need and chatting with the folks waiting for their ride. It is just a busy little shop.
