About Shri Vrindavan Craft – Art & Craft in Beawar
Our shop is located in the K.S. Talera Market, which is part of the Pipliya Bazar area in Ajmer. It’s a busy spot, especially on market days when the narrow lanes get crowded with people and carts. We have a small space at number 106 where we keep all the craft items we’ve gathered. It’s usually quite dusty because of all the movement outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the shelves. We have things made of wood, brass, and some fabric work too. Most of it comes from local makers around the district. We don't have a website or a fancy catalog; people just come by and see what we have on the shelves that day. Sometimes a piece is slightly off or has a small mark, but that's just the nature of things made by hand. We sit on small stools and talk to the regulars who stop by for a chat. The light in the shop isn't great, but we know where everything is even in the dark. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually slow down and have some cold water while waiting for the evening rush. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to sell a few nice things to people who appreciate them. It’s been our way of life for many years now, and the market feels like home to us despite the noise.
