Navkar Sales

Navkar Sales is located right in the middle of Pali Bazar. It’s a very busy part of Bharatpur, especially on market days when you can barely move through the streets. We are sitting directly opposite the Indian Tower. That tower is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. Our shop deals with wholesale and retail sales of various goods. The walls are lined with boxes of all sizes. Most days involve a lot of lifting and moving inventory from the back to the front. We don't have a fancy computer system for everything, so we still write down a lot of things in our registers. It gets very noisy with the vendors outside shouting and the bikes zooming by. The floor is made of old tiles that have seen better days. We’ve been in Pali Bazar for quite a while now. My father used to run things, and I just sort of took over when he got tired of the daily grind. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day to keep our energy up. Sometimes the delivery trucks can’t get close because the road is too narrow, so we have to carry everything by hand. It’s hard on the arms, but that’s just how it goes here. We close up when the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s a simple operation and we like it that way.
