People around Nasirabad know where we are. It’s a busy spot but we manage to get things done inside the office. I started Madhukar Architect Consultant quite some time ago because I wanted to help folks here with their house maps and site plans. Nasirabad has its own way of doing things, and we try to keep up with that. Most days, the table is covered in blueprints and there’s always a bit of dust coming in from the street. It’s not a fancy setup. We have a couple of computers that hum all day and plenty of sharpened pencils lying around. When someone walks in, they usually just want to know if their wall is in the right place or how much cement they’re going to need. We spend a lot of time looking at measurements and checking the local rules. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast while we figure out the window placements for a new project. Sometimes the internet is slow, but we just wait it out and keep drawing. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just a few people trying to make sense of building sites. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything, just chairs for people to sit and talk about their land. It’s practical work. We’ve seen the town change a bit over the years and we’re just part of that daily life now. Every project is just another day at the office for us.
