Veer Maruti Rice Mills

Veer Maruti Rice Mills is located right on Barnala Road in Bhucho Mandi. If you know the area, you know how busy that road can get with all the traffic passing through. We’ve got our setup here where we process rice and handle the daily intake from the fields. It’s a loud place when everything is switched on. The floor is usually covered in a fine layer of dust, no matter how much we sweep. We have a few guys who have been working with us for years, they know the machines better than I do. Bhucho Mandi is a good spot for a mill because of the trade happening all around. We don't have any flashy signs, just the mill and the gate. Most days start with tea and then we get right to it. Some of the equipment is old but it still does the job for us. We have to fix things ourselves quite a bit. It’s not like those big city offices where everything is clean and quiet. Here, you get dirty and you work long hours when the harvest is in. We just take it day by day. The weather really dictates how much we get through in a week. If it’s too humid, things slow down and we just wait it out. We just keep moving along on Barnala Road. It’s what we do.
