The Goyal Store

The Goyal Store is right in the middle of the Bathinda Cloth Market on Mall Road. You can find us pretty easily because we are directly opposite Doctor Mohan Lal’s place. The market is always loud and full of people looking for fabrics and clothes. Our shop is filled with different rolls of cloth and ready-made items piled up on the shelves. It can look a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We spend a lot of our day measuring out fabric and cutting it for customers. There’s always thread on the floor and the smell of new cotton in the air. We’ve been in this market for many years, following in the footsteps of those who were here before us. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll often see a couple of us behind the counter arguing about where a certain bolt of silk went. We don't have a big fancy showroom. It’s just a traditional market shop where you can haggle a little and find what you need. The fans overhead hum all day long to keep the heat down. Customers come from all over the city because Mall Road is such a central spot. We take pride in just being a steady part of the cloth market. If you need something specific, we usually know which corner it’s tucked into. It’s a busy, messy, but good way to spend the day for all of us here.
