Singla Variety Store

Singla Variety Store is a local shop in Vpo Burj Hari, right on the Bathinda Road in Ward 4. We are very easy to find because we are located right near the Government Secondary School. Because of the school, we get a lot of kids coming in for snacks and pens during their breaks. It keeps us on our toes for sure. The store has a bit of everything, which is why we call it a variety store. We stock household items, snacks, stationery, and whatever else the local people in the village might need in a hurry. My family and I spend most of our day behind the counter talking to the neighbors and keeping the shelves full. It’s a long day from morning until late evening, but we like being at the center of the village life. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket; we just want to have what people need so they don't have to travel all the way into the city. The store is usually a bit cluttered because we try to fit so much into a small space, but we know where everything is. It’s a simple life and we know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. We just focus on keeping the stock fresh and the prices fair for the folks around Burj Hari.
