Purushottam Premkumar Architect

I'm Purushottam and I've been doing architectural work here near the Bathinda Zone Cantt for a while now. My office is right on Barnala Road, which most folks know. It's busy around here with the military base close by, and that affects some of the stuff we handle. I handle the drawings and the planning part of building things. It isn't a huge operation, just me and some help when needed. Most days I am just at my desk sketching or looking at site plans. People stop by to ask about house plans or how to fix up an old structure. We get a lot of dust from the road sometimes but it’s a good spot to be. I don't use fancy software for everything, sometimes the old way is better to get the proportions right. If you are driving down towards the headquarters of the Chief Engineer, you'll see where we are. It’s a plain building. I try to keep things straightforward with my clients because construction is already complicated enough. No one needs more headaches when they are trying to put up a wall or a roof. We spend a lot of time just talking through how the space should look. I’ve lived around Barnala Road for years so I know how the weather hits the buildings here. It gets hot, then it gets dusty. You have to build for that. It’s just how it is.
