Om Sai Bricks Company

Our place is at Plot No. 83 on Dabwali Road, right near the Mark Dhobi Bazar in Nai Basti. It’s a lively part of town to work in. We’ve got a decent-sized lot where we keep all the bricks. The process is pretty much the same every day—mixing the clay, shaping it, and then the long wait for them to dry and fire. We’ve had some rainy weeks where everything slows down, and that can be frustrating, but we manage. Most of the people working here live nearby in Nai Basti, so it’s a real neighborhood thing. We don’t put on any acts; we’re just a bunch of people making bricks. If you come by, you’ll probably see us covered in some dirt because that’s the job. We load up the tractors and trucks as they come in. Sometimes the line gets a bit long at the gate. We try to keep the stacks organized so it’s easy to count. The market area nearby means there’s always people walking past. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but our little brick yard stays pretty much the same. We don’t have a fancy website or anything, just the gate and the bricks. People know where to find us when they need to start a new wall or a small shed. It keeps us busy and out of trouble. We just keep piling them up for whoever needs them next.
