Neelkanth Rice Mills

Neelkanth Rice Mills is located right on Maharaj Road here in Rampura Phool. It has been our spot for many years now. The mill stays pretty busy during the harvest season when all the trucks start pulling in with the raw rice. We have a lot of space in the back for drying the grain, which is where you will find most of us during the day. It is a noisy place when the big machines are running, but we are used to it. We just focus on getting the rice processed without too much fuss. There are a few of us who work here and we have known each other a long time. We do not have fancy signs or a big marketing team. People around here just know us by word of mouth. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves right there on the floor. It gets dusty and hot in the summer, but that is just part of the job in a mill. We try to keep things moving so the farmers aren't waiting too long to unload their stuff. It is just a local business trying to do what we do. We mostly just talk about the price of grain and how the weather is looking for the next crop. If you walk past the gate on Maharaj Road, you will probably smell the rice being processed. It is just everyday life for us at the mill. We hope to stay here for many more years just doing this same work.
