Nav Durga Rice Mills

We've been working here at Nav Durga Rice Mills for quite some time now. Our place is located on Talwandi Road, and you’ll find us right near the Ganga Spinning Mill. It’s a busy spot during the harvest season. We spend most of our days making sure the paddy is processed correctly. There is a lot of noise from the machinery, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We aren't the type of people to use big words or fancy talk. We just focus on the rice. The building itself is older, and things can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but it gets the job done. Sometimes we have a backlog of trucks waiting outside, and those are the long days where we stay late. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us working the machines and moving bags around. Most of the staff comes from the local area. We know the farmers who bring their grain to us by their first names. We share a cup of tea when things slow down for a minute. Life at the mill is pretty straightforward. You wake up, you come to Talwandi Road, and you work until the light fades. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a rice mill doing what it’s supposed to do every single day. We don't need fancy signs to show people who we are. It is just a job that we do.
