M/S Multimelt Steels Pvt Ltd is located in Rampura Phul, which is in the Bathinda district of Punjab. Our place is near where Sham Lal the postman lives. Everyone knows him, so it makes finding us a lot easier. Ajay, who is Ishwar Singh’s son, runs things here. We are in the business of steel, which is heavy and dirty work. The 151103 area is where we grew up. We did not see a reason to move anywhere else. The yard is usually full of scrap and metal pieces. It is not a place for clean clothes. We spend our days dealing with furnaces and melting down stuff. It gets very hot, especially in the Punjab summers. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay out of the direct sun when we can. The workers here are mostly local guys from the village or nearby towns. We do not have a big office with leather chairs. We just have a small shack with a desk where we keep the ledgers. It is how my father did it and how we do it now. If you need to find us, just head toward the postman’s house and look for the stacks of metal. We do not have a big sign, but the noise of the machinery usually lets you know you are in the right place. It is just basic hard work.
