Manpreet Kaur Architect

My office is at H. No. 19504 on Bibi Wala Road. It’s quite near the old bus stand. Being an architect here means I see a lot of the same faces every day. The Bibi Wala Road area is always moving. I’ve set up my workspace in a way that’s comfortable but it’s definitely a working office, not a showroom. There are rolls of tracing paper everywhere and my rulers are always under a pile of notes. I’m Manpreet Kaur, and I’ve been doing this for a good while. I don't really have a big staff, so if you call, you’re usually talking to me. I handle everything from the first sketch to the final check. It can be a lot of work but I prefer it that way so I know what’s going on. The location near the old bus stand is handy because everyone knows where that is. Sometimes the noise from the street is a lot, but I just close the windows and get back to the drawings. It’s a straightforward way of working. I don't use a lot of big words or try to impress people with fancy talk. I just look at the site and try to build something that makes sense for whoever is going to use it. That’s the long and short of it. I’ve lived and worked in this area long enough to know how things go around here. It is just what I do.
