Laxmi Rice Mill

We are another one of the mills you’ll find along Budhlada Road. Laxmi Rice Mill is the name on our gate. It’s a practical sort of place, built for work and not much else. We have the large storage area for the raw paddy and the milling section where all the noise happens. It can get pretty loud when all the machines are running at once, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We’ve been operating here on Budhlada Road for many years. It's a good location because the transport can get in and out easily enough. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us covered in a bit of grain dust or working on one of the machines. We focus on the daily tasks of milling and bagging. The seasons dictate how busy we are. In the winter, the air is crisp and the work feels a bit easier than in the heat of the summer months. We have a loyal group of guys who have been with us for a long time. We don't make big promises, we just try to get the work done as it comes in. It’s a steady business and we are glad to be part of the local community here. We just take life as it comes and mill the rice.
