Laxmi Karyana Store

Laxmi Karyana Store is at Shop No 13 A in the Maur Mandi area. We are very close to the Post Office and not far from Board Chowk. Because of the location, we get people who are just passing through to drop off mail or heading towards the main chowk. It is a small space but I have organized it so everything is within reach. I keep all the basic karyana items like lentils, salt, and cleaning supplies. I have been working here for a long time and the shop has seen many changes in the neighborhood. The post office workers often come by for their small needs. It can get a bit congested around Board Chowk during the rush hours, which sometimes makes it hard for delivery trucks to reach us. I handle most of the work myself but sometimes a neighbor helps if I need to step out. The wooden counter is quite old and has some scratches on it. I don't see any reason to change it though. It is just a normal shop for normal people. We don't try to be anything else. Every day I open the shutters at the same time and start putting the crates outside. It is a quiet kind of life despite the noise from the traffic. People stop by for a quick chat and their groceries. We just try to keep the shelves full.
