K.S. Bhaike Engg. Works

We are located on Moga Road in the Bhagta Bhaika area. It’s fairly easy to find our place because of all the metal scraps and machines sitting outside the entrance. We do engineering work here, which mostly means fixing things that are broken or making new parts from scratch. The shop is always loud because of the grinders and the welding machines going on. There’s almost always some grease on the floor and definitely on our hands. We’ve been doing this kind of work for a very long time. People bring in their tractors or big industrial machines that have stopped working. We take a good look and see what we can do to get them running again. It’s not a clean job by any means, but we like working with our hands. The air is always a bit smoky from the heat of the torches. We have a few old wooden benches where we keep our tools organized. Most of the tools we use are quite old but they still get the job done right. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with air conditioning. Usually, people just stand around and watch us work or go get a cup of tea at the shop nearby. Moga Road is always busy with heavy trucks passing by. We stay open until the last job is finished for the day. Sometimes that means working quite late into the night. We don’t really have a set schedule here.
