Khalsa Cranes

You can find Khalsa Cranes over at 478 in Mother Town Phase I. It's a spot we've occupied for some time now. Dealing with cranes isn't something you do if you want a clean office job. It’s heavy, it’s loud, and it’s often very dirty. We have our yard where the machines sit when they aren't out on a job. Seeing them all lined up in the morning is a good feeling. We started out with just one old machine and built it up slowly. We don't have a team of salesmen or a big human resources department. It’s just us and the operators. We know every quirk of our equipment, like which lever sticks or which engine sounds a bit funny when it's cold. Mother Town is a decent place to work from, and Phase I has enough space for us to move the big rigs around without hitting anything. We spend most of our time coordinating where the next lift is going to be. It’s a lot of logistics and hoping the weather stays clear. We don't use much jargon or try to sound like we're more than we are. We're just a group of people who understand how to move heavy stuff safely. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It's a long day usually, but we like it more than being cooped up in an office.
