About Kaur Jatinder Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Bathinda
My workspace is located at House Number AP-11 in Taff Colony, right on the PTU GZS Campus. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, which is lucky because I really need the silence to get through the math and the technical calculations. Most of the time, I’m buried under site surveys or trying to figure out why a particular wall shouldn't be knocked down. Working on a campus means there are always students walking by outside, but inside the office, it’s just me and my tools. I’ve got an old computer that still runs the CAD software just fine, and a lot of pens that I seem to keep losing every other day. I don’t do much advertising; people usually just hear about me through word of mouth or see my small sign outside the gate. It’s not a big corporate firm with fancy marketing. It’s just a place where I sit down and try to solve practical problems with brick and mortar. Sometimes a student from the campus will pop in with a question about their own work, and I try to help them if I’m not in the middle of a tight deadline. The winters get a bit cold in this office, so I usually have a thick sweater on and a hot mug of tea nearby. I take pride in the fact that I handle everything from the first pencil sketch to the final check on-site. It keeps me very busy, but it’s a good kind of work to do.
