Jindal Speels

Our shop is No. 17667A1, situated on Dr. Kishori Lala Road. We're quite close to Kanya Mandir, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. The area gets pretty busy with school traffic and people going about their business. We focus on steel items here, though the name on the sign says Speels. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful about how we stack the pipes and sheets. If we aren't careful, you can barely walk through the aisles. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and cutting them to size for people who drop by. The floor is concrete and always has some metal shavings on it. We try to sweep it out every evening, but it’s a losing battle. My brother and I run the place most days. We don't have fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is just written down in our notebooks. It works for us. The lighting in the back is a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept. When people come in, they usually know exactly what they want, so we just get to work. It’s a practical kind of life. We’ve been on this road for a while now and seen a lot of shops open and close. We just keep doing what we do, handling the steel and making sure the orders are right.
