English Finishing School

Down here at 4304 in Basant Vihar, things stay pretty quiet until the afternoon classes start. We’re tucked away on Street No. 7-A in the Mahesh Nagar area of Bhatinda. Since it's a regular building, we just have a sign so people can find us easily. Inside, there are a few rooms with tables and chairs where people sit to work on their English. Students of all ages come in, some looking a bit nervous and others just wanting to chat with the staff. Going over grammar books and practicing how to say things clearly takes up most of our time. Because the winters here get cold, there’s always a kettle in the corner for tea to keep us warm. By the end of the day, the whiteboards are usually covered in notes and scribbles. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything fancy like that. It’s just a place where people come to learn and improve. Even though the street gets crowded with scooters, everyone manages to find a spot to park. To help with reading practice, we keep a stack of old newspapers and magazines in the corner. It’s mostly just hard work and a lot of repetition for the students. With standard tube lights and posters about verbs, the rooms feel more like a study at home. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed so nobody feels too pressured when they make a mistake. Learning a language is hard enough without that extra stress.
