Dr. K.R. Singla Hospital

This is Dr. K.R. Singla Hospital, right here in the Post Office Bazar in Raman. It’s a bit of a busy spot because everyone comes to this bazar for their shopping and daily errands. Being in the Bhatinda district, we see a lot of people from the town and also from the villages nearby who travel in for the day. It is a hospital, but it feels more like a local meeting point sometimes. I've been working here for years and the faces don't change much, they just get older. We have the usual equipment and beds, nothing too flashy, but it does the job for our patients. When someone is sick in Raman, they usually head down to the Bazar Raman and find us without much trouble. It’s convenient because the post office is right there, so people know the way. We deal with everything that comes through the door, from minor scrapes to bigger issues. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk with the patients, but other days we don't even have time to drink our tea before the next person arrives. The building itself is old, but it is solid and reliable. We keep the floors clean and the medicines stocked as best as we can. People trust us because we’ve been part of the community for such a long time. We aren't trying to be the biggest hospital in Punjab. We just want to make sure folks have a place to go and someone to talk to.
