Down on Dabwali Road, in the village of Jodhpur Romana, you’ll find Bhatinda Ceramics Pvt. Ltd. It is situated in a spot where you can see the fields stretching out, which is a nice change from being stuck in the middle of a crowded city. The facility is mostly about the kilns and the stacks of ceramic goods waiting to be shipped out. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but we’ve been here long enough that most folks know the way. The air inside the workshop is always a bit warm because of the processes involved. We have a set routine that we follow every day, starting with checking the stock and seeing what needs to be moved. It isn't a high-tech operation with robots; it’s mostly people using their hands and keeping an eye on the details. The yard is usually full of pallets, and you have to be careful where you walk so you don't trip over a stray tile or a piece of packing material. We don't have a fancy reception desk. Usually, if someone comes by, they just find one of us on the floor or in the small office area near the front gate. We deal with a lot of transporters who are always in a hurry to get back on the road. It’s a practical life out here. We just try to make things that hold up well and keep the business running steady without any fuss.
