We are situated on Amrik Singh Road in Bhatinda, not far from the Urang Cinema. It’s a good location because everyone knows where that cinema is. People often drop in to book a trip while they are out for an evening show with their families. We have been here for a long time, and the shop has become a bit of a familiar spot for the locals. Inside, it’s kept pretty simple. We have a few old calendars on the wall and a telephone that never seems to stop ringing during the day. We handle all sorts of travel requests, whether it’s a quick trip across town or a longer journey to a different district. The drivers we work with are mostly local men who have grown up on these streets. They know which roads are being repaired and which ones to avoid during the morning rush. We don’t have a website or any fancy brochures to hand out to people. If you want to know our rates, you just have to ask, and we will tell you straight. Sometimes we run out of change in the cash drawer, and we have to go next door to the tea stall to get some coins. It’s that kind of place. We don't pretend to be anything we are not. We just provide a way for people to get where they need to go. That's our daily life here.
