Our workshop is located outside Ohri Gate, not too far from Basant Avenue Phase II. It is a bit of a mouthful to explain the exact location, but we are near the Nehru Gate and the City Police Station, which makes it easier for people to find us when they are in Amritsar. We spend our days surrounded by the smell of hot metal and the sound of hammers and lathes. It is a busy part of the city, and there is always something going on just outside our doors. The police station being nearby means there is a lot of activity on the street, and we are right in the thick of it. We are mostly engineers and founders who have been doing this for years, so our hands are usually dirty and our clothes are worn. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have a workspace that is filled with tools, scrap metal, and ongoing projects. It gets loud and it gets crowded, but that is how a foundry is supposed to be. Most of our neighbors know us by name, and we often stop for tea at the corner stall during our breaks. Amritsar is a bustling place, and being near the old gates gives our business a sense of being part of the city's history. We just show up, do the work, and try to get things done right without making a big deal out of it. It’s a loud, hot, and honest way to make a living.
