Mahajan Traders

Mahajan Traders is situated in Village Batala, right near the Hathigate area. We are very close to the Gurudwara, which is the main landmark everyone uses to find us in the Gurdaspur district. Being near a religious place means there is always a lot of activity and people around the shop. We do various types of trading from this location. The building is old but it works for what we need. It’s a family-style business, and we've been in Batala for a long time. People from the surrounding villages come by often. We keep things pretty simple. There isn't any fancy decor or anything like that. We just have our goods and we sell them to whoever needs them. The weather gets quite hot in the summer, but the Gurudwara nearby always has a bit of a peaceful vibe. We start early in the morning and try to get everything organized before the afternoon rush. Dealing with different products keeps us busy throughout the week. Gurdaspur is a nice place to work, and being in a village like Batala feels more personal than being in a big city. We know most of our regular customers by name. It’s just a normal trading business where we try to stay honest and do our work. Nothing too complicated about it. We’re just local people doing local trade near Hathigate. It is a quiet life but we like it this way. It gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up.
