Uiop

Down in the village of Kodai in the Basti district of Uttar Pradesh, that’s where you’ll find Uiop. It’s a rural area, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our office is a simple building right in the village. We deal with whatever the local needs are, mostly focusing on regional services. There isn't much in the way of high-tech stuff here. We use a lot of paper and local knowledge to get things done. The roads around here can be tough during the rains, so we have to plan our work around the weather. Everyone in the village knows where we are. We don't need a big sign or a fancy entrance. Most of the people working here are from Kodai or the nearby areas. We spend our mornings talking to the locals and figuring out the day's tasks. It’s a quiet place, except for the sounds of the village and the occasional tractor going by. We aren't trying to be some big national corporation. We just want to serve our local community and keep the business running. Sometimes the electricity goes out, and we just sit outside and talk until it comes back. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We don't have a marketing budget or a sales team. We just do what needs to be done for the people who come to our door. This is how we’ve always operated, and it seems to work fine for us.
