We are based out in the village of Dhanekula, which is part of the Basti Tehsil. It is a bit of a drive, located near the Agra Road. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than in the city, which suits us just fine at Sharma Masale Pvt. Ltd. The air is a bit clearer out here, though the road can get quite busy with people traveling towards Agra. Our facility is pretty straightforward. We do all our spice work right here. It is a post-and-village setup, so everyone in the area knows where the building is. We have some old machinery that hums along all day. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even if we are a private limited company on paper. We don't have a fancy reception or anyone in a suit. Most of us are just in our regular clothes, working on the floor or checking the stock. The courtyard gets a lot of sun, which is good for some of the things we do. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, but that is just village life for you. We just focus on getting the masala sorted and packed up to go. It is a lot of hard work and not much else. We have a small tea stall nearby where we go for breaks when we need one.
