Reyan Child Hospital

Our hospital is in Bhimapar, which is part of Siddharth Nagar. It’s a child-focused place, so you can imagine it’s rarely quiet. There is usually the sound of a baby crying or kids playing with the few plastic toys we keep in the corner. We have a few rooms for when children need to stay for observation. It’s a basic setup, nothing like those giant city hospitals with neon lights. We are in a more rural or small-town setting, so we see people who have sometimes traveled quite a bit to get here. The parents always look a bit worried, which is natural, so we just try to be calm and tell them what’s happening in plain words. The weather here in Siddharth Nagar can be really hot, so the fans are always on full blast to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time checking temperatures and writing out prescriptions for the pharmacy. The staff is local, so we speak the same way everyone else does. We don't have a big fancy website or a marketing person. Most people just know us because their neighbor came here once. It’s hard work dealing with sick kids all day, but when they feel better and start running around again, it feels like we did something good. We just keep things running one day at a time.
