Micro Thread

Dasipura is where we have the setup for Micro Thread. It’s a small village in the Basti Tehsil. To get mail, we use the post office at Dnau Kula. Most of the people around here are farmers, but we decided to do something different with the threads. It’s a lot of manual work, making sure the quality is okay and the colors are right. We don’t have fancy computers or a front desk. It is just a workspace with the spools and the raw material stacked up against the walls. Some days it is very quiet, and you can hear the birds outside more than the work inside. Other days, we are rushing to get an order finished for someone who is coming from the town to pick it up. My brother manages the transport part while I look after the actual production. We don’t have a big marketing team. People just know us because we’ve been in Dasipura for so long. Sometimes the rains make the roads difficult, and we have to wait a few days to move anything out. That’s just part of living in the village. We take it as it comes. It is a steady job and it keeps the family together. We use simple tools and we don't try to act like we're a big corporation from the city. We just make thread and try to stay out of the way.
