Maddhesia Cold Drink

You’ll find Maddhesia Cold Drink in the village of Nagra, which is part of the Nagra taluka. We are situated very close to the Durga Mata Mandir. It’s a small, local shop where we’ve been for quite a while. We don't have any fancy signs or neon lights. It’s just a simple room with a few large refrigerators against the walls. We mostly sell cold drinks and some bottled water to the people living in the village or those visiting the temple. During the festival times, the area around the Durga Mata Mandir gets extremely busy, and we’re on our feet all day long. The rest of the year, it’s a much slower pace. We often sit on some chairs outside the front door when there aren't any customers. We know most of the people who live in Nagra, so it’s a very friendly environment. We don't have a computer or any high-tech gadgets. We just use a small drawer for the cash and keep track of things in a simple ledger book. Sometimes the power goes out in the village, which is a bit of a headache for the refrigerators, but we manage somehow. It’s a straightforward life here. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything. We’re just a village shop providing a service to our neighbors and the pilgrims who pass through.
